This brought back a memory, sometime in the late 1980's I was following a friend's H-D Ultra with all the boxes and accessory lights.
When we stopped I mentioned to him that in the dark on the highway it looked like a distant transport truck with clearance lights.
We laughed about then and he was never rear ended on the bike, but of course back then things were a lot different, no self driving cars, no texters, just drunks and the inattentive..
