In the near future companies might pay you to exercise 4 hours a week and to learn new skills 4 hours a week, while you really only work 32 hours a week instead of 40 hours a week. The future might involve working multiple part time jobs that each pay into your benefits and vacation time. It might be that people will work for recruitment firms and be outsourced to various jobs throughout the week for various needs, such as filling in for other people who are sick or on vacation. The workforce is going to become alot more flexible and variable in the future. You might have to serve various roles within the larger workplace. One day you could be doing a field role, another day a customer service role, another day a lab role, another day a maintenance role, another day a logistics role, etc.
