Gotta disagree with you on this one, Charlie. Artistic talent isn’t a prerequisite for copyright. I wouldn’t be surprised if this case ultimately winds up in his favor. Courts might make new rules to exclude AI works but, as the law currently exists, it’s really hard to make a legal argument that he didn’t own the copyright the second he generated the image.
