And go up the tree again. For more apples. Sure the tree is not grandfathers tree. This is a pruned tree so that branches stick out to the north and south and the west is branchless. The tree still produces well. The automated picking machine can pick fruit as fast as 6 pickers(pickers who bruise the fruit and pick all the fruit - generally it was ripe. Sorting houses which employed +100 women & a dozen forklift driving men . Now they do not have a job there as even the sorting houses have gone automated with electric eyes. Fruit is shipped by truck to the packing house where it is sorted by people and packed by people(now by machine) and stored by automated forklifts. . Since when does a machine buy an apple?
