I think that ChatGPT response about obliterating humans is faked. There are too many safeguards about ethics built into the program. If it did actually generate that response, then someone had to have access to its programming to alter it in order to generate the scary stuff. As it's created by humans and not all of us are ethical, the problem is still the human, not the AI.
