Perhaps the curtain is being drawn back with AI; I for one use Chat to help with administrative tasks, formatting documents, creating schedules and web copy. Are these all jobs that will be taken away? Maybe, but as a boot strapped artist working a 9-5 in printing, these are things that would otherwise consume all my time for creative endeavors.
I have friends in comp sci and coding, and there’s real issues. Just as there were issues for print when digital marketing first boomed. Supply and demand change. Adaptation is a core function of humanity.
Perhaps the time has come for people to pursue developing independent agency, to return to artisanal work and craftsmanship, by leveraging the technology that’s being developed to aid in the overwhelming amount of task work that comes with running a business.
