We need AI to verify AI! I think the Gartner hype cycle needs to be understood as a very generalized line just as a 20 year line of the stick market. A lot of variation happens along those too smooth lines so it’s hard to suggest a point we’re at. Overall though, I think we’ve skipped the other fundamental types & levels of AI to get to the neoliberal wet dream of few employees making massive profits to sell to the rich.
