You missed a big thing; what happens when China releases silicon LLM chips ? A hardcoded chatgpt on a chip die. Nobody bothers subscribing to openai but more importantly to these corporations nobody is feeding as much quality data anymore. Speaking of, we are in fact living through a sort of economic cold war against China. The conflict is between American capital versus Chinese state capital. One simply floods any issue with money (by proxy depending on the existing market state) whereas the other directs resources in order to tackle the problem.
