One problem I see is that they act as though our particular, current situation as a capitalist construction will simply continue. We will all earn our money (and dignity) though having jobs, working for rich people. A Universal Basic Income already threatens that relationship. Rich people always convert their money into the power to impose decisions on others. They will bend and distort everything, including AI to something academics will not anticipate, not even these brilliant academics. A UBI means not working for money. UBI doesn't have to mean a marginal income. It could be a major and sufficient income. Not working for a capitalist is very threatening to the rich, much like cooperation and unions. I am saying that socioeconomic forces will play more of a role than this academic discussion is anticipating.
