Well considering unemployment is not nearly as high as what the video mentions, I'd question the validity of many of these arguments. AI is very much still in its infancy and we're still several decades away from AI being a viable replacement to the workforce based on the cost of energy consumption and data storage alone. AI has been a thing for decades already, the widespread use is only recent because we have advanced other technologies. AI can also only replicate human intelligence it can't invent anything. Think of it like this, can the AI ask itself a question autonomously without any feedback from someone else. The answer is no. Humans are uniquely designed to be introspective. AI can mimic introspection, but only within the confines of however it was programmed by the programmer, it will not ask itself a question unless someone else asks. I'd argue the scary thing with AI isn't the potential for job replacement, but instead it is the fact that AI is designed inheritably to be an intellectually non-neutral technology. The morality and biases of the programmer can be directly reflected in the AI, Elon Musk has even stated that his AI is "more conservative" which means the responses you will receive from these AI's will not be fully truthful, but they will lean one way or the other. We are already seeing these tools used to polarize people politically.
