I can only hope that this will stop some people from shaming victims of real rape or those who were filmed without their knowledge. Now anyone’s face can end up in a video like this and it doesn’t mean it actually happened. Hopefully this means at least real victims of rape now won’t be blackmailed with videos of it cause people won’t be sure those are real so there’s no reason for blackmail.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it’s a good thing that people are using deepfake to make those videos. I’m just hoping at least this one tiny good thing comes out of it.
