Please hear me when I tell you this. You can have all the bells and whistles, games, experiments, lights, camera, action in a classroom, but if the students don’t want to do it, and they have watched their parents make excuses their entire lives they will make excuses to avoid the work. Also, be aware that life is not that entertaining. The highest paying jobs have the most boring work setting environment in that they are free of stimulating sounds and lights and activity. So are we really preparing them for the environment that they will be working in? I see lots of things on social media about how millennials and the younger generations want to be overly accommodated and want to modify everything once they get into the workforce.
