Seeing the actions of certain people in reaction to recent events, emotionless, without any empathy or rational thinking, AI is still the least imminent threat I'm afraid of. And I also don't like, how thanks to AI or not just AI, even smart phones, people are getting dumber. Less able to think, search for answers, entertain themselves, being able of critical thinking, trying to compare informations etc.... I thought these amazing technologies will elevate us into a new era of amazing medical, engineering or planet and space exploration breakthroughs, while we are getting to a point, when people are not even able to use the simpliest AI UIs, or just freaking web browsers. And yes, the progress is there, but why are we getting less and less capable of maintaining already owned learned skills? Technology should be here to help us and work with us as a buddy. Not to replace us, while we will be sitting and doing nothing. It always reminds me of Wall-E movie. That society on that spaceship...that's actually a really realistic projection of mankind in near future.
