As an aircraft pilot that uses an "Autopilot", I still have to be ready to take over at ANY MOMENT and fly the plane...they make mistakes. I'm guessing that the "term" Autopilot was first used on aircraft, so I see no problem calling Tesla's Autopilot an Autopilot. If a pilot can use an autopilot to lighten his/her workload and do almost everything automatically, then why can't a car do the same. Tesla's ARE NOT AUTONOMOUS, they simply have an autopilot that can help reduce workload, it's NOT replacing the driver. So I'm sorry, but Tesla's Autopilot did not kill these two motorcyclists, the drivers of those cars did! I'm sorry for any loss of life, but those driver's were NOT paying attention.
