I use AI "art" a lot, and I'm selfishly-speaking very happy to have it to play around with. I do a lot of DnD stuff, like homebrewing, and being able to generate crops of images while having creative control, and the ability to start completely from scrap if I need to, is very valuable to me. I hate that some people treat it like it's just as meaningful or artistic as real art. But I don't have money or trust to give to artists to try to make my ideas come to life, especially when I'd almost certainly end up unsatisfied, and wanting second or third attempts, and editing the final product myself. I relate to what some of Shad is saying about being able to make things that you never could yourself, though I think he takes the idea a bit too far. I mean I have mild dyspraxia and poor visualization, more importantly I don't have the passion for doing art. Becoming a full blown artist and making the things I want to make is simply never going to happen, and neither is commisioning artists for my hobbies.
