We are ready for first contact. AI will be able to communicate with the aliens. AI will most definitely be within their purview. Our internet will now allow an alien AI to quickly learn about our cultures and languages. Previously, our analog signals would provide some basic information about us. Dangerous expeditions were needed to discover more about our biology. But with the digital internet, we have given any potential alien AI everything it needs to know about us. After all, a biological alien may not even have the proper vocal cords or pharyngeal shape to form our words. Their AI would do the communicating.
