One way that I try and explain why I hate AI to a non artist is: telling them to imagine if someone made a robot that could play sports instead of all of the professional athletes. This robot can play really well it never fumbles a ball, and it wins every game. What would be the point of playing sports. And on top of that all of the professional athletes are now working at McDonald’s, Amazon and Walmart, instead of playing sports.
If they still don’t get it, tell them it’s like driving a marathon it defeats the whole point.
