The fallacy is in thinking that what good programmers are good at is reading and typing cryptic language syntax. What we are actually good at is realizing what you pleebz want to have done, and realizing the smartest way to accomplish that.
Non-programmers will face an AI that begins with "OK, what do you want me to do", and by that they have already failed.
Engineers will always be needed to figure out which problems to solve how. All the way until AGI. After that we won't be needing humans at all.
