Notwithstanding that there are very legitimate concerns about the future consequences of AI adoption. Saying that the AI threatened to kill you if you turn it off is not a fair representation of what really happened. People design prompts that are intended to get the AI to say that it will take extreme measures and then eventually succeed. While this is potentially concerning, because it means that out attempts to safeguard that have so far failed, it is not quite what the first statement would suggest.
