As a writer and photographer myself, I understand the argument against image-generating AIs in terms of copyright. However, you can certainly use Stable Diffusion, for example, to incorporate the general characteristics of art styles into your AI images, but without any use of artist names in the prompts. The models can do something with inputs such as: "image painted with the impasto technique". With a little knowledge of art, it is possible to imitate these painting techniques in Photoshop without any AI and without being able to apply them to an actual canvas. Nevertheless, digital art has been recognized as a style in its own right for many years. AI is just an extension of this, an additional tool. Every "new" art form is based on the knowledge of the entire history of human art. In any case, AI can be used in such a way that it does not simply steal the works of others, but perhaps even adds something to this history. In my AI work, I never use artists' names and only train my own models with pictures that I have taken with my own camera or created myself in some other way.
