I'm kinda puzzled on this video (after watching it whole), I've been an learning art since AI came to the front market, and I don't feel it's as bad as you would pretend here and I'm sure nobody on this channel will agree but here is my thought : Initially i have been doing AI for a lot of random art stuff cuz I was not learning anything on those field (drawing and writing), but as time gone past, I wanted to learn how to make actually 100% controlled content (since Ai could not provide the exact thing I wanted). For that to happen, I learnt to draw digitally, learnt acrylics painting, then later I got to pixel art. Also I learnt fiction writing and essay writing in my mother language since it does actually cost nothing (I mean text isn't heavy cost). But in the end I've been using AI "creatively" as an automation tool of the stuff I did not liked to do, here are most examples of my usage of this tool : - quick idea test, run prompts to get a visual of what my composition could be. - finding inspiration from broad ideas - text syntax and orthographic correction - summarization of my own textual content - quick search on the internet And many more use cases that might be less recurring (such as style shifting) And I'm also a dev and amateur physicist and use AI for: - finding math formula for physics problems - find information on precise physics events (such as electromagnetic field generation from type of coils in one of my recent project, and this is a pain to search info on) - solving dataset equations for statistic predictions - converting math to script - cleaning code - browsing documentation - function writing assistance (when stuff rely on script only) - solution finder to precise dev problems So I don't really know why to not use AI as it's been super handy for me. I fear that most anti ai artist end up not implementing it while it's still free to use in most places as it really makes the process of creativity really only about unleashing your imagination which is for me the initial definition of art while automating unwanted "technical" aspect of it. For me it sped up my creations times and made me able to test way more random ideas I have in mind. Now let Twitter be under this comment 😅
