I'm a software engineer: we sometimes use chatGPT like software to generate code for us. Sometimes it's perfectly correct, other times it's 80% correct and then we have to further get it to learn it's mistakes.
At any rate: we would never just trust verbatim the code it generates. You have to read the code and make sure you understand how it works before you use it.
Anyways: basically chatGPT is great for boilerplate stuff.
