Even on, like, chatGPT, where it refuses point-blank whenever you ask it to draw something copyrighted, there are ways to work around it if you’re smart enough.
Knowing how Disney lawsuits tend to go, the law hammer may come down on the more “copyright-safe” ones too.
Which means there is a very real possibility that visual genAI becomes illegal across the board. Not restricted. Illegal.
This is an interesting turn of events
