I’m a 50 y/o housewife who’s going to be divorced soon. I have no retirement or marketable skills. I’m working as a housekeeper to scrape by, but my body won’t be able to do this work forever. I’ve looked into getting an associates degree at the tech school, but I can’t find any career that won’t be taken over by AI or is not too strenuous for my joints. I really hope welfare will be available to me when I’m older. I’d give anything to be able to go back in time and get a career instead of marrying and raising children.
I’m not looking for sympathy. I know all of the bad decisions I made are only my own responsibility.
