All I’m saying is this: just because computing gets cheaper over time doesn’t mean access will. Martin Shkreli got control of a life-saving drug and hiked the price by over 5,000% because he knew people needed it. Even Bugatti uses parts from the wider Volkswagen parts bin, yet people still get charged astronomical prices because companies price based on leverage, branding, and exclusivity, not just cost. That’s why I think AI could easily end up the same way. Once people depend on it, companies will stop asking what it costs and start asking how much they can get away with charging.
