My question is "Will progress lead to a greater human experience?" I find that immortality robs us of finality and automation robs us of purpose. Already in society filled with jobs solely focused on sitting at a screen, depression rates are soaring and suicide claims so many lives. Everyone else tries to escape reality through movies, the internet, and video games. Technology will only further this paradigm. Progress will not lead to godhood but lobotomy & pacification.
