why is chatgpts model's full breadth of knowledge being depicted as a grotesque conglomerate of teeth, flesh and eyes? It's literally just gobbling up all of the information humanity has published online, and to a lesser extent, on paper. AI by definition, cannot be separate from humanity.
If it *is* a grotesque beast, then good, it truly does resemble us, right? It's functioning as intended. Calling the base model incomprehensible is ... hack speak. If it *does* catalyze our demise as a species, then that is humanity in motion.
