Here's the difference between digital art and AI "art".
It's like making a cake.
Digital art is using a stand mixer instead of mixing the batter by hand, but you're still making the cake.
AI "art" is just buying a cake at the store and saying you made it.
Digital art is just a more efficient way of making art (sort of) with plusses and minuses. It is also compatible with traditional art as I sometimes use my sketches as a basis for lineart. But you're still using your hands, imagination and skill to bring your creation to life.
AI "art" is essentially the same as getting someone else to make the picture for you, except this someone else is a machine. It's getting it premade and claiming it as yours, even though all you did was make a request.
