Why even flatter them by calling them "AI artists"? I beg you all to call it out for what it is, which is "AI generated imagery".
I feel like you're all doing them a service by even mentioning art within the same breath as these frothing neanderthals, which I'm sure they get a huge ego boost out of, and it's probably a factor towards why these people are still allowed to exist the way they do.
If the goal for us artists is a future where AI generated imagery no longer exists to threaten our craft, then I think it's backwards that y'all give them credibility by even calling these people "AI artists" in the first place.
