As a CDL licensed mechanic Autonomous trucks will take over human drivers slowly but surely. The jobs created will be for maintenance of those trucks as well as repair and support for scheduling work. Just like robots will take over jobs in fastfood restaurants its all going to gradually take over. Its happening everywhere..dock workers being replaced with automated machinery. Initially it may be robots helping human dock workers but in the end....YOU KNOW whats gonna happen.
