In fiction, Michael Connelly's latest Lincoln Lawyer's case is similar to this. Yes fiction, but timely. In their case a boy killed his girlfriend reputedly due to the poor or non-existent guardrails of an AI chat bot made by the fictitious company Tidalwaiv. The title is The Proving Ground. No, this is NOT an ad for Connelly's book. I just happen to be reading it now. As to its usefulness for understanding any of this, no comment, as I am not an expert, and I haven't finished the book. I also don't use AI, having found it to be useless in attempting to solve difficult problems, wherein I was better off simply using search on my own, the AI failing miserably. My own take. I also consider AI to be a rediculous misnomer, neither artificial, nor intelligent. It is an interative statistical algorithm programmed and fine tuned by humans which uses data in such a manner as to ruin it for scientific study, as it formulates its models or theories to fit the data, rather than testing any understandable coherent model or theory with the data.
