It feels like humanity is always reactive instead of proactive. We wait until crises like pollution, pandemics, wars, or AI get out of control before acting. I don’t understand why we operate this way.
Do the leaders making decisions not see what’s happening—or do they just not care? Don’t they think about the world their grandchildren will inherit? Humans seem endlessly unsatisfied, always chasing more “progress” and “productivity.” Sometimes I wonder if other species—or even aliens—look at us and laugh at our short-sightedness.
