I really love you are talking about this as an AI research director even though I am a conservative republican. One question I have for everyone to ponder is this though: is this the path forward for humanity? AI will not go away, stronger manufacturing will not go away regarding efficiency + effectiveness. Therefore, is creating a life that does not require us all to be slaving away 50 hours a week sound like a perhaps POSSIBLE good way forward for humanity? We are creative creatures and the way we have created our present day society largely takes away from this. Remember that this new work/hustle life style outside of the last 200 years is rather extremely new and quite inhumane as it is. Rather, it has just become a new “norm” for us as humans. I have no disagreement that it would be rough for a while. However, it does not mean that it could be a large step to our future as a new area of evolution for us as humans.
