No one's saying u cant use AI Generation software --
They're saying you can't Use *THEIR* work in Data Sets for AI generated art .
The other Issue is a product of capitalism , bad faith actors are definitely gonna try to make money with this and the only thing stopping them is the Legal argument really ( they dont care about morals when money is involved) and unfortunately the technology might cause someone to lose a job , just more reason to fight of a universal basic income.
So the legal argument for why AI Generated art is not copyright-able is that there is no Human Authorship during the process of the created image ( no prompt authorship =/= image authorship ) . The closest thing to an AI generated Copyright is a comic Zarya of the Dawn-- which is currently being contested . ( if you're an artist, you should know this , research it and improve on it -- it will shutdown anyone arguing against you)
