I trust AI any day over a therapist. Therapists can’t be trusted, the power imbalance is insane and most are narcissistic and power hungry, and will never be held accountable for anything short of physical abuse. All you need to do is ask chat gpt the right way. I have gotten significantly more support from chatgpt than I ever did from years of multiple therapists, and zero abuse. You act like therapists don’t talk about their clients behind their backs. All you need to do is prompt it the right way. If you’re stressed about a friend at work, just change some details. If her name is Peggy, say Samantha. If you work at North elementary school, say you work at elementary, say you work at East elementary. Just don’t give it revealing details. Your problems aren’t that unique that it can find out even if it doesn’t have the details.
