What about the idea that AI and in-general SW engineers are currently doing a lot of grunt work, laying down the pipes much like a plumber these days. How do we deal with the demand from employers due to the perception that SW engineering is easy thanks to AI and therefore we deserve less time to complete our tasks. I'd like to hear how we can find a balance again - so that we can continue to perform but with schedules not being so tight.
