on the other hand i want to write a guardians of gahoole fan fiction from a crows perspective. i have about a billion ideas and a pretty in depth world but no skills to actually put pen to paper. if i wrote the story on my own it would get mocked and run out of any forum i put it on. that's not cool or good. i know why i don't write a paragraph and get claude to polish it, maybe cycle that a few times, and then the next para graph rinse and repeat.
This is the democratization of art.
The argument that "you should just write other stories and gain the skills." fails because i have exactly 1 idea, one story i'm getting on in years and i have had exactly one idea i think is cool enough to try to put in the world and interesting enough to hold my focus. and you are basically saying that because i cannot think of any idea i care less about, such that i can write a bunch of throw away stories to build skills with, i don't get to put my idea out into the world.
To which my natural response is a shrug. why should i care about your gate keeping if that is your answer?
