What bothers me is this idea that alignment is something really difficult that we don't know how to solve. In particular, that we have only one chance and has to be incredibly precise. It may be the only way, but its an argument from ignorance. So we don't really know if it is that difficult and the solution has to be the first try. It's of course a risk to build something we don't know precisely. That part I accept. But what follow it is still a matter of debate, specially if the development come from a different tecnology than LLMs.
