art is in fact whatever you want, so if you like going to an ai generator and telling it to make you art, go for it, but don’t expect the rest of us to have the same reaction to it as art with real people behind them who worked for hours, days, months, years to not only make the art but become skilled enough to do it. if i started stacking rocks on top of each other in a Fibonacci spiral thing (yumi and the nightmare painter reference) no one would call that art. half the art is the one making it and the other half is the one seeing it, and if the one seeing it knows that no real person (least of all you) made any strokes on that digital paper, they won’t see it the the same way. i myself am sad/frustrated that i can’t just sketch out a great drawing, heck i can’t even get stick figures right, but that’s not for lack of talent, i haven’t put in the work to have that skill.
