In general, I am against AI in the arts. However, it is interesting to consider at what point something can be valued as art, and at what point you can no longer take credit for it. Is it a matter of skill and effort? Or is it a matter of being the first to push a particular button? At what point is an image yours? Or a song? If some notes are randomly or unintentionally generated, does it make the song not yours anymore? Where we draw these lines moving forward will become increasingly more challenging the more AI help is fostered. And yet AI has done some pretty incredible things. These are truly strange and challenging times to be an artist.
