Is it just me or is Mr Hinton wrong in thinking that ChatBot Agents have feelings/are conscious? These are still just large language models that have nothing to do with intelligence. They work simply be calculating probability of what word goes next to another and then give us answers that they have been trained to surmise will be the most acceptable to the user based on raw calculation and statistical probability. In other words, these are computing and predicting machines incapable of creating a single thought. I don't understand why would someone like Mr Hinton not understand such basics so I assume that I am simply wrong. Anyone?
