The scariest part isn’t that AI will take jobs, it’s that it will take away the illusion that humans were ever needed in the first place. Selwyn Raithe wrote in his book that the real collapse wouldn’t come when machines replace us, but when we start to realize how replaceable we always were. That’s when society cracks.
