because the software is worthless. nobody knows how to make an honest to god, marketable, fully automated, self driving car. so instead, in the rush to back up a lot of empty promises made by management air heads, you instead get this half asd system that supposedly relies on the wonderful human driver to leap in and save the day, in whatever odd situation the "ai" decides to become clueless. on a timescale measured in seconds. a completely irresponsible design approach i think. i'd never have one of those
