Unless AI will start buying AI made products and services universal basic income will be reality sooner or later.
AI isnt paid so they have no purchasing power, unemployed ppl arent paid so have limited purchasing power as well. companies and billionaires owning those companies can employ as much AI to be as productive as possible but if they have noone to sell their products and services to they not gonna be profitable and earn less money than before.
Only logical way, cos AI will replace human employees once they become more expensive and less productive than AI, is state mandating some form of AI tax to replace loss of taxes from employees income and VAT etc and those taxes spent on social welfare and basic income to create and maintain some level of purchasing power and consumer economy.
Once theyres noone to sell your products you cant make profit out of them and end up bankrupt living under some bridge, just like your former employees, no matter what AI you use in manufacturing and marketing...
