This seems a bit misleading. “We don’t even know how AI works” isn’t true. LLMs are based on predictions and probability. So we know exactly how it works, it looks at the documents it’s trained with and makes statistical associations. This sounds like a CEO of an AI company looking for PR for investment in his company to work on safety testing for AI. I’m absolutely not opposed to these investments, but I don’t know about this guy.
