Its crazy and sickening and it just shows that people are willing to burn though our planet for easy cash, as you said they do not respect or care about art and if they think they do it’s a false sense of accomplishment from “creating” something. Art has always been and is about the process and human expression.
Generative AI is a build upon mountains of theft and unethical practices which includes infringement of art, video and even text conversations. That is not to say artist want to stop technological progress. Artist LOVE progress, but this is unethical in all directions. If we take a look at analytical Neural Networks(a fancy way to say Analytical AI, NOT Generative), they are used for medicine, science, and things that will improve our lives in the future hopefully, and they don’t use water like crazy. I want to make myself clear. I love art, and I love technology, what I don’t love is people insulting art and communities and using said communities that they don’t even represent to further their own claim.
