We need universal basic income and we need you talking about it like you used to as the proper response to AI. It's not the only thing we need. We need universal healthcare and 4-day weeks too. We need to disconnect survival from jobs and connect it to citizenship just as we do voting. GDP growth decoupled from wages 50 years ago. We should have been distributing a GDP dividend this entire time. Instead we let $80 trillion flow to the top 1%. UBI is a GDP dividend. It can grow with GDP. We all deserve our share of AI. Our data trained it all. Public dollars funded its research and development. We should be treated as stockholders for putting up the capital.
Stockholders do not demand that employers give them jobs. They demand passive income in the form of dividends. UBI is our dividend. It is our rightful dividend. It belongs to us. We should demand it.
Please help us by demanding UBI.
