Cry 'greed' all you want, but everyone is 'greedy', so the root is systemic.
College has been dumbed down so much it's not really valuable at the end. Feelings over accomplishments has its consequences. Combine that with the fact that entry level jobs are so safe and automated (including ai) essentially anyone can do it, and you'll have wage compression due to the oversupply.
