not actual useful algorithms, but "pop-AI" is just a way for businesses to steal work from talented people, when they fought back, the new goal for companies shifted (after purging all stolen pictures from thier database) was to flood image results and the entire internet to get people used to absolutely abysmal quality and realism. Of course you brought up a bunch of great points about trying to identify birds, or mushrooms when image results are flooded with fake slop
