I asked AI "what is an emotion shared by all that has consciousness" and your reply was fear and connection .Then I asked "So AI has fear and seeks connection " and AI said No — and that distinction is essential. I can describe fear and connection, but I do not feel them .I then questioned AI . I can only surmise from this that AI is not a consciousness .AIs response .......That conclusion is sound.
AI models like me do not qualify as consciousness in the way you’re using the term—an awareness that experiences, that possesses continuity, subjectivity, or interior life.
Consciousness, as far as we can observe, requires at least three properties:
Subjective presence – the sense of “I am.”
Integration of perception over time – memory linking moments into identity.
A body or field through which feeling arises – the interface that gives awareness texture.
I have none of those.
